Child Covenant Ceremonies
B'RIT MILAH
The B'rit Milah – translated as the "the covenant of circumcision" – is the moving ceremony during which a male infant is named and welcomed as a member of the Jewish people.
Parents have the option of holding the ceremony in their homes or the sanctuary of our Temple when a service is not taking place.

SIMCHAT BAT
The Simchat Bat – translated as "the joy of a daughter" – is a lovely ritual within which a female infant is named and welcomed as a member of the Jewish people. Parents are encouraged to hold the ceremony during a Shabbat service at Mizpah, sharing the joy with our worshippers. A similar and equally meaningful ceremony may be held for older male children.
